The Governance Network is open to all community and voluntary organisations across Adur and Worthing, Brighton and Hove. It is a great opportunity to keep up to date with local and national legislation and network with other Trustees.

This interactive session will be led by Julie Nerney, who has served as a CEO, Non-Executive Director and Chair on 13 Boards in the public, third and private sectors. Julie is a Chartered Director, and was awarded a Fellowship from the Institute of Directors in recognition of her work to drive best practice in governance across her Board level portfolio. She is currently Chair of Greater Brighton Metropolitan College and Pharm@sea Ltd.

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Identified the critical success factors for a well-functioning Board
  • Understood the differences and similarities between the requirements of different Boards
  • Gained insight and top tips of how to improve the effectiveness of your Board
  • Formulated some practical next steps for you to take back to your own Board

We will prioritise giving places to our members. To find out how to become a member see our website.
